Chief Technical Officer

Why is ShoutWiki's Chief Technical Officer reverting vandalism manually? I'm not even using a bot but if I was you'd be spending all day fixing the damage. Why not use a query? I've seen it before on WikiFur. Schnookums (talk) 20:38, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Why is a user of this wiki questioning how I'm reverting vandalism, when it's not even part of my job description? Surprisingly it's the wiki community members who should be leading that effort. --Lewis Cawte (talk) ShoutWiki Staff 21:13, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
If you're willing to revert the vandalism then we're happy to let you do it. But as "Chief Technical Officer" don't you have better ways of reverting mass vandalism? I've seen it done before and that's my point. Schnookums (talk) 21:17, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
lol this is the guy who's vandalizing. He's mad at me that I got him removed from the staff and banned from another site. Busey.png oddguy Busey.png 21:24, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
I spoke with Cyn and found out about your exploits. Anyways I'm attempting to give this guy some advice, so go away and make yourself useful elsewhere. EDIT: And I already told him I am the same guy, retard. Schnookums (talk) 21:25, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
I'd guess that Schnookums is hoping you'll (Lcawte) give him an excuse to feel less guilty about making you clean up his vandalism. His "revenge" doesn't seem to be hitting the right target. --SmashLampjaw (talk) 23:49, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
I'm so losing sleep tonight. Schnookums (talk) 00:01, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

Bot behavior

Good Evening, Mister Cawte. Thanks a lot for your help and for making non-staff personnel unable to edit pages. Unfortunately I noticed that Cook879, which looks like a member of your staff has been constantly deleting several pages over the course of the day. It become difficult for our restoration efforts to have these pages deleted. I'll try all I can to undo the deletion before I can restore the pages back to normal.

Regarding the idea of implementing a trusted user group I speak on behalf of the current of staff of the Bad Webcomics Wiki when I say that we agree to have this system implemented in the page. We are used to this because of our previous website and we were trying to look for a way to implement the same here. You can discuss to any of us for this. I'll try and convice Oddguy to allow this to happen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MakarovJAC (talkcontribs) Please use four (4) tildes (~~~~) to date & sign your post in the future!

Hi MakarovJAC, It looks like you've come here to discuss something else. The title of this section says "bot". Cook879 is a member of our staff team that has been working very hard recently trying to help clean up this wiki, as have I earlier on this week. I used a bot (LcawteBot) to help delete some pages. I can assure you that I spent a lot of time reviewing the pages I deleted. Though I have not looked into this, I will note that Cook879 is normally very careful in his actions, especially deleting pages and I will say that he is probably deleting these because they were created as a result of the vandalism.
